Stroke

Using this background, I created different strokes using the rectangle, circle, and free form selection tools.  From there, I was able to customize the borders, types, and widths of each stroke.

Paste Into

Before using the paste into feature, I selected and copied a section of the palm trees in the background with the rectangle tool.  Then, using a variety of sizes and shapes with the selection tools, I used paste into to paste the copied section into each shape.

Transparency

Adding an image of the sun to multiple layers, I then resized the sun image in each layer from small to bigger. Changing the transparencies of each layer so that the bigger the image, the lower the transparency gave this sun a radiating effect. 

Text

He I added a variety of texts with different fonts, colors, sizes, and faces organized into a little poem.

 Scale

This is the first scaled image for this exercise. The dimensions (height/width), although halved, are proportionate to the original image.

This is the second scaled image for this exercise.  The dimensions for this image were changed individually of each other.  This image looks stretched and different from the original image.
